Daemon Tools iSCSI Target - version 2.1.0.0072 tested. A 20 day trial is available for download without registering. Unfortunately it was not possible to install WIndows to this target as the Target disk is mounted as a Removable type disk.

iSCSI Cake - version 1.8.0226 tested. A 15 day trial is available for download without registering. Unfortunately it was not possible to install Windows using initiators with either BIOS or UEFI firmware. Interestingly it was possible to use iSCSI Cake to boot Windows from a Target disk that contained an existing Windows installation (Windows installation previously completed on StarWind 5.2 Target).

StarWind Virtual SAN - version 8.0.12767 tested. A Free license/version is available - you will need to register to obtain the software and license file. Please note that at the time of writing the StarWind Management Console has limitations when using a Free license ("GUI Management is not available. GUI Monitoring is available without time limitation" - from here).

When testing using an Initiator System with UEFI Firmware, when UEFI (Stage2) was started multiple connections from the same initiator were seen in the StarWind Management Console. Windows Task Manager reported significant CPU usage by the StarWind Virtual SAN service - with CPU Usage increasing with each additional connection from the Initiator.
